Calvert County Government’s annual operating budget outlines spending on county services and administration for the coming fiscal year (FY), which begins July 1. We are seeking input from county residents to help shape our priorities for the upcoming year.
FY 2025 Budget Process
Fall 2023: The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) gathers input from their leadership team and county employees to develop the staff recommended budget.
March 2024: The FY 2025 staff recommended operating and capital improvement budget is released online and the BOCC holds a public hearing to consider and receive comments.
April 2024: The BOCC releases its FY 2025 recommended operating and capital improvement budget.
May 2024: The BOCC holds a public hearing to consider and receive comments.
June 2024: Following extensive review and consideration, the BOCC adopts the final FY 2025 budget.
July 2024: The approved FY budget is implemented by the Department of Finance and Budget.
Individuals who cannot attend the public hearing may submit written comments. These written comments may be submitted by emailing COMMISS@calvertcountymd.gov or through the U.S. mail to the BOCC at 175 Main St., Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
