Elizabeth (Beth) Richmond, deputy director of accounting, holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland College Park and is a licensed CPA in the State of Maryland. She joined Calvert County Government in 2020. Prior to joining Calvert County Government, she managed Incurred Cost Audits and Accounting System Examinations for federal clients (USAID, CMS and NASA). Before auditing, she spent 25 years as an internal accountant for several federal government contractors, serving in various roles: staff accountant, senior staff accountant, director of Finance and assistant controller. She is a member of GFOA and Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Richmond also serves as a member on the Calvert County Employees Retirement Plan Trust Fund.
